First (Must Have) Software For Your Linux Install
Here are the must have first installed software for your Linux install.
Of course, the best Linux install is BIGLinux!
Music Player: Tauon*.
Tauon is simply the best and most importantly, uses the most important music folder attribute most others seem to not include, folder navigation.
*MUST ADD FLATSEAL in order to use Tauon with external drives!
For MS font compatibility: ttf-ms-win11-auto
Want your documents to use MS font without distorting? Then install MS fonts!
You can also use the following command:
Sudo apt install TTF-MSCOREFONTS-INSTALLER
Paint Editor: PhotoFlare.
Almost identical to MSPaint. Point is, it's simple, with almost zero learning curve.
Timeshift.
Ripping Cds; Sound Juicer.
Great, simple, almost automatic CD ripper.
Backup: Timeshift.
Back your distro up nice 'n easy.
